What Car? - The XC70 is a big, practical estate based on the V70, but with a modicum of off-road ability, if you avoid the two-wheel drive models. The cabin is comfortable and built to a very high standard.
Auto Express - The XC70 is a toughened-up quasi-off road version of the V70 estate, whose beefed-up bumpers, raised ride height and accentuated fog-lights give it a unique appearance. The XC70's soft suspension means the ride is very comfortable, extra spring travel deals with uneven surfaces better than the standard V70.

A new six-cylinder engine and a five-cylinder direct injection diesel are available to get the best out of the advanced chassis.
